Canoe to Submarine: Maritime History on the Thames
Nicknamed ‘the Whaling City,’ it’s no secret that New London served as a major port and key player in this dangerous and highly profitable industry.
Offered exclusively during the Connecticut Maritime Heritage Festival, this brand new tour shares the tales of whaling, provisioning, privateering, defense, and the larger than life characters who made our heritage so colorful.
The tour will be offered on Sunday, September 15th. It departs from City Pier in New London at 1 PM and 3 PM and runs for 90-minutes.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $12 for children 12 and under.
