Road to Revolution

In honor of the 250th Anniversary of Signing of the Declaration of Independence, this tour will focus on colonial life and trade along the Thames, culminating with the 1781 Battle of New London and Groton Heights when Benedict Arnold led his traitorous raid on the local militia.

Mohegan Life on the Massapequatuck: Origins of the Mohegans

Hop aboard the Thames River Heritage Park’s open-air, navy utility boat and cruise up the Thames to view the shoreline and river area of the Mohegan Tribe, narrated by a knowledgeable tribal member as your guide. This tour will head north up the Thames, past the Submarine Base and into the quiet Estuary the Mohegan calls home.
