The Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra conducted by Music Director Toshiyuki Shimada performs:• The ECSO’s mid-winter concert offering showcasing the talent of the 2018 Instrumental Competition Winner, cellist Justin Park, and closing with Dvořák’s Symphony No. 7.• Ludwig van Beethoven’s Egmont Overture – a whirlwind overture that takes the audience on an emotional journey depicting victory over oppression.• Sergei Prokofiev’s Sinfonia Concertante for cello and orchestra, inspired by virtuoso cellist Mstislav Rostropovich. and featuring the ECSO 2018 Instrumental Competition Winner, Justin Park• Antonín Dvořák’s Symphony No. 7 with its subtle Slavic themes, inspired by the composer’s home country.*Pre-Concert Chat: 6:30-7:00pm
